My approach to mask is rather untraditional, I see it as a form of sculpture.
I use the non-figurative mask mostly to produce compositions in which sculpture and the human form complement each other. "Monster" mask which represents the monster under the bed,
has been produced with an endavour not to imply who/what the monster is.
